The project story
The existing pool deck and patio were stamped concrete in a stone pattern that had worn and faded. The photographs follow the job from that starting condition, through the stage where the new surface meets the old pattern, to the finished light knockdown deck running from the pool edge to the house.
Why the sequence matters
The mid-project photographs show the change directly: the same slab, with the new knockdown surface on one side and the original stamped pattern on the other.
Design takeaway
Pool-deck finishes need to be considered as wet-use surfaces first. Texture, color, exposure, transitions and maintenance all matter alongside appearance.
