The project story

The existing finish was failing. This project required removing that finish and preparing the concrete before resurfacing; cleaning and resealing alone would not have addressed the problem.

The photographs show the original condition, resurfacing in progress and the resurfaced pool area.

Why preparation and scope matter

This project is a useful example of how the condition under an old finish changes the work. Removal, surface profile and the agreed coating build all belong in the plan before installation starts.

An additional base coat was recommended but declined for this project. That scope decision matters when comparing coating builds; the photographs should be considered alongside the agreed work rather than used as a universal specification for another pool deck.
