The project

Bronze-toned countertop surfaces sit alongside brick columns, a timber ceiling and a dark backsplash in this covered outdoor kitchen. The photograph shows the actual surface, its variation and the relationship between the working counter and the raised bar.

Design consideration

Working counters and raised bars need to function together. Their heights, edges, transitions and openings should be considered alongside the appliances and the way people cook, serve and sit in the space.
